Didcot Antenatal and Baby Groups

Mondays 10-12

GWP Southern Community Centre, Didcot, OX11 6HQ

Didcot Baby Monday is a community led peer-support group for parents with young babies.

We hope that you can come along to meet other local parents, share experiences, make new friends, and find support.

As well as being a welcoming social group, we provide evidence-based information and support to help you navigate life with your new baby.

Our trained Breastfeeding Counsellor and Peer-Supporters are always ready to lend a non-judgemental and empathetic ear to anything on your mind. From getting started with breastfeeding to stopping when the time is right for you and any little bumps along the way, as well as using infant formula and bottles, introducing solid food, infant sleep, adjusting to motherhood, returning to work, and choosing/using slings & baby carriers.

We have a comprehensive library of carefully chosen baby and motherhood related books available to borrow, and can signpost to all sorts of reliable, non-commercial online resources. Take a look at our handy Padlet for links to recommended websites, articles, videos, podcasts, apps and more.

We also hold regular workshops and activity sessions, such as baby hand & foot print crafts, postnatal pelvic floor and core function recovery support, and "Babies Who Lunch" weaning workshops.

Follow our Facebook or Instagram for updates.

Take a look at our FAQs page for more details about coming to the group.

We also run a monthly antenatal group especially for expectant parents - Bump Club.

Get in touch with us here.

We look forward to welcoming you and your little one to the group!

We also work closely with local charity Oxfordshire Breastfeeding Support, who run a session in Didcot on Friday mornings, 10-12 at the Didcot Community Station in Royal Scot House (the SOHA building) opposite the Station, entrance on Lydalls Road.

This is a smaller, quieter group than DBM to get in depth support.

Booking is recommended and spaces can be booked here.

OBS also offer weekly in-person sessions in Kidlington and Oxford, 1:1 video calls, a monthly antenatal Zoom workshop, and a moderated closed Facebook group.
